Project Brief
This Tableau project was developed for an HR Manager’s user story. It aims to provide a comprehensive summary of human resource data, structured across three main views — Overview, Demographics, and Income. It supports strategic decisions across hiring, diversity, and compensation.
Goal
To enable HR teams to quickly assess headcount trends, workforce diversity, and salary fairness across departments and demographics — through an interactive and easy-to-navigate dashboard.
Tools & Technologies
- Tableau: Visual storytelling and dashboard creation
- Calculated Fields: Age groups, ratios, and comparisons
- Filters & Parameters: For flexible analysis by gender, department, city, etc.
- Visuals: Stacked bars, KPIs, scatter plots, and grouped charts
- CSV/Excel: Source HR data cleaned for Tableau import
- Figma + Canva: UI layout & custom icons
What I Did
- Designed 3 separate sections: Overview, Demographics, and Income Analysis
- Created custom metrics like active rate, termination trend, and HQ vs Branch ratio
- Built visual stories for gender distribution, age group spread, and performance by education level
- Implemented dual-axis salary comparisons and scatterplots to highlight correlation patterns
- Ensured mobile responsiveness and executive-ready presentation layout
Results & Insights
- Clear visibility into hiring vs terminations trends over the years
- Identified gender-based and education-based salary gaps using dual-comparison charts
- Revealed HQ (New York) dominance in headcount vs branches
- Exposed underperforming education levels with lower performance ratings
- + More insights available interactively via filters by state, city, and department
